חוקר בתחום האסטרטגיה והכלכלה. קיבל את הדוקטורט שלו בשנת 2010 בבית הספר לכלכלה באוניברסיטת תל אביב והמשיך לפוסט דוקטורט באוניברסיטת בריטיש קולומביה, במחלקה לכלכלה. לימד באוניברסיטאות בריטיש קולומביה ותל אביב.
