Scholarly Impact: Finding the Holy Grail
Abstract
The desire to have an impact on different stakeholders including researchers, students, and society at large is a long-term aspiration of most academics—a sort of search of the “Holy Grail.” What is scholarly impact? How should we measure it? How can we enhance the impact of our research and teaching activities? The goal of this presentation is to address these questions by describing the latest research. The presentation will be of interest to researchers and educators aiming to enhance the impact of their work—as well as university leaders and administrators.
